Debbie's Decorating Den

It's been a busy busy busy day......but I've had a blast.  I've gotten to play decorator....and sometimes that's fun.  This is just the beginning of the major transformation this house is going to start undergoing.  I want to document the progress.

We got our new bed and our new TV stand delivered.  Paul helped me move everything out of the bedroom yesterday and last night I got the carpet shampooed.

This morning I got up and vacuumed it all up, washed the walls down, and washed the baseboards in anticipation of our furniture delivery.

I even swapped out the switch plates.  Of course I learned a lesson.......ALWAYS remove the switch plate when painting a room.  You never know when you want to switch them out and the new one isn't the same size........oops!

I just need to get the curtains hung back up and put away some stuff and then I am FINISHED. 

I actually really like the way it turned out.  We went to a bigger bed, but the room feels bigger.

 

This last picture shows the new TV stand.  I'm still not finished with topping off Paul's dresser and hanging up something on that side of the wall......so it's still a work in progress.

 

I love to change things.  It makes everything fresh.  It makes everything new again.
