I had a wonderful Mother's Day.
I'm just a little late in posting all the pictures.
Actually, there's not many photos.....because I was having too much fun.
How come no one else in the family ever thinks to pick up the camera and take a few photos......they are so much fun to look at?
So here's what we did.
We left Houston about 9pm on Saturday night along with Aaron from across the street. We drove our 1 1/2 hours and then met my Aaron at the Kroger in Clute to get all the goodies for the day. My goal was to NOT leave the house until it was time to drive back home.
After getting back to Aaron's house we stayed up pretty late just sitting on the deck, listening to the ocean, drinking a couple of Coronas, and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Next day began with Paul and I walking along the beach....how romantic. Then it was back to the house to load up the car and driving the block over to the beach. We set up camp with an unbrella, cooler, beach toys, boogie boards, and sunscreen.

The weather was perfect, the water temperature was perfect, and the company was perfect. We enjoyed ourselves so much throwing frisbees while fighting the waves, boogie boarding, and just relaxing and enjoying the moment.
After a full day on the beach, we decided it was time to start our feast.

Nothing better than BBQ'd hamburgers on the grill with beans on the side. How relaxing to hang on the deck cooking together and just enjoying the end of our day.

Next day it was a slow start because we were all burned to a crisp.....so we got up a little late and met Aaron for lunch at our favorite place.....Pirate's Alley. Then our mini vacation was done too soon and we were headed back home.
what a great time it was.
