So much to say

And not a lot of time to get it written down.

Lots of exciting news we have to share.

Lots of pictures I've been taking of all the wonderful food I've been eating.

Lots of travels I need to report about.

Lots of fun news of things to come.

Wish I had the time to sit and tell you right now, but it will have to wait until at least tomorrow.

One thing I would like to say before I get back to my "regularly scheduled program" of work.....is that I am mad at my sister.  I sent her a really awesome assortment of gifts for her birthday and she promised that we would get to enjoy it when I visited......and she never brought it out and shared it.

Here is an example of what I am talking about:

Next year I am going to be much more careful in what I pick out for her after finding out that she doesn't like to share.

Work, work, work and more work

It sure is fun to go away.  Not so pleasant to come back and deal with all the work that needs caught up.

Not only that......it looks like PZ #2 will officially be sold on June 30th.  Looks like next week will be filled with lots of phone calls.  Yippee....not!

Took a picture of my desk drawer today.  What might look to you like a drawer filled with lots of pretty colored folders.......means entirely something different to me.

Every single one of those "pretty little folders" actually means a days worth of paperwork that needs to be done for the stores.  Guess I need to quit typing and get back to work.......I think there's about 18 folders in there......YUCK!

P.S.  we had a fabulous time visiting our hometown with the whole family.  You know the pictures will be coming soon!

My husband and our business

I just have to say how proud I am of my husband.

In the last month or so, our business has just blown up.  It really has been an incredible experience.

This man works his butt off.  He cares about making sure our employees are happy and that our customers are taken care of.

It's his constant mission to make our business better and better.  And I do have to admit that most nights I'm sitting at the house working by myself.  But I know that he's working hard for US!

He is also the best travelling companion there is.  I love experiencing all these new adventures with him by my side.

Gosh.....I am so lucky that he chose me.

Living La Vida Loca

Well we went out today and bought something that we've been talking about buying for awhile.

We'll see how long our interest in doing this will be.....lol

Yay.....new bikes!  We bought one today and we'll get the other one tomorrow (we could only fit 1 at a time in the 4-Runner).

These bikes will also fit perfectly into our other plan.  We've been thinking about getting a motorhome (older and used).  But, we want to make sure it's something we would use and like taking out......so we are going to rent one sometime in the next couple of months and take a little road trip with it and see how we like it.  We can also take our bikes along and go bike riding when we stop.

Actually, it sounds pretty fun.  Actually, I feel like I'm really starting to sound like an old person talking about bikes and motorhomes.

Oh yeah.......I'll have to tell you about our discussion this morning about getting a pool.  I mean like a REAL built in pool.  Will have to fill you in on that one later.

Living Life

Well it's been a few days since I've had the opportunity to take a moment and bore you with the details of my life.

So here I am.

It's been a busy week which included payroll, husband, children, trivia, husband, children, working, husband, children......you get the point.

Living life.  I can't complain though.....I've got it pretty good.

Things are moving very well with the sale of our second store.  What a big relief it will be to only have 1 store again.

Plans are being made for our visit to Tucson

Getting some things caught up that are in desperate need of catching up.

And managing to fit in some fun now and then.

We even managed to eat just what we were craving one night:  loaded nachos!
That's right:  tortilla chips, Velveeta & Rotel, Green Onions, Beef, and squashed up avocados!

This my friends......is living life!

Time to leave Santa Fe

I always hate the last day knowing we have to head back home.

I really really really love to be on vacation.  I do like to go back home......but I don't want to have to stay there long before we're off on another trip!

Aaron left really early once again and we were a little slower getting out of bed this morning.  We spent our time packing things up and we started packing a little faster when Paul suggested we hit the casino before we meet Aaron for lunch.

The plan was to have lunch with him and then we were going to head to Albuquerque to catch our flight at 5pm.

We headed out to the casino in the middle of a flurry snowstorm.  It was really kind of neat and the scenery was beautiful.  We spent close to 2 hours in the Camel Rock casino and then met Aaron at the pizza place (yes the same one we just ate at a couple of days ago).

Paul wanted to try their homemade gluten free crust and fresh mozzarella and of course Aaron wanted another Pepperoni/Green Chile.  Since we had brought Olive with us.....we took a publicity shot of her with our delicious pizza.

We weren't much impressed by their gluten free crust (ours is better), so while we were eating we decided that because of the bad weather we were experiencing in Santa Fe......we better check our flight later in the day.  * we have also learned a lesson by not checking ahead of time and had to RUSH to make a rescheduled earlier flight *

Glad we checked!  Sure enough......our flight out of Albuquerque was cancelled due to weather.  As we sat eating our pizza, Paul was trying to get through to the airline to find out what our options were and to try and get us scheduled on another flight.

We decided (after Paul got hung up on 3 times while waiting FOREVER on the phone) that we might have better luck using a real phone instead of a cell phone.  After buying a pizza for Aaron's employees, we headed to his work to use the phone.

After unsuccessful attempts at trying to call United, we logged into our United account online and found out that they had already rescheduled us on a flight that left Albuquerque at 8pm and had a layover in Denver.  We would land in Houston about 1:30am.

Well hey.......since we had more time than previously planned......we went ahead and went to the gun range.  It had been on our agenda, but we didn't have the time before.

Of course, here's the master expert that had to teach us everything we didn't know.

This guy did pretty well.

And I surprised myself.  I have to admit I was really scared handling the gun and hated the noise, but was impressed at some of my shots.  I hope if I ever had to shoot a gun for real that I had all the time in the world to line up my shot.

Look at all these expert shots we made.  Not bad for a couple of rookies and an expert!

After shooting, we had to say our good-byes and head on down the road to Albuquerque.

The scenery in the car was awesome:

And the scenery outside the car was amazing!

We ended up with an hour to kill when we got to Albuquerque.....so where better to spend it -- than at the casino of course!

Thank you Isleta casino for taking a little bit more of our money, but giving us a little more fun!

We were a little bummed that we weren't getting the nonstop flight home that we thought we were originally going to be on.....but the flight to Denver left on time and we only got held up in Denver about 30 minutes longer than previously anticipated.

I really felt sorry for all the long lines of people trying to get flights home and all the people that we saw sleeping in the Houston airport.  We landed about 2am and after getting luggage and our car we pulled in the driveway about 3am.

I really do like visiting New Mexico.......can't wait to visit again!
