Dropbox Surprise!

I love having all the photos I take on my phone or on my camera automatically go to Dropbox.

It's the one place that I can go and I know all my photos got automatically sent there.

However, Paul's photos also go there and he has access to it.  I took a photo of his shoes sitting in the living room for a text I was going to send my sister and he wanted to know why I was taking incriminating photos.  Haha!

So today......my post will be just random photos that are in our Dropbox that aren't worthy enough of having a whole post dedicated to them and that's why we are calling this Dropbox Surprise.  You have no idea what you are about to see.

Enjoy the randomness!

Taking quick photos are awesome when you want to send Michael and Jessica a picture of their dogs to let them know you are taking good care of them!

Apparently Paul was displeased with the way they are cleaning things at night.
I can't blame him on this one!
This was to get the kids excited that they received a Christmas letter from their dad.  I'm not sure anyone ever opened this one.  I haven't seen it in awhile either.....so maybe it ended up in the trash.

I have no idea who took this picture or why it was here.  I do know however, that this could be the "before" picture when I get ready to get my kitchen remodeled this year.

This was a selfie that my husband insisted we take after getting home from a fancy schmancy dinner at a highly expensive steakhouse that we recently went to.  Our accountant sponsored a thank you dinner for his clients.  This is what you get when your accountant knows how much money you are making!

This is another Paul picture taken outside of Pizza Zone.  Had some sewer cover issues by our dumpster that required the County to come out and take care of.

This is a "pouty lip" photo of my that I sent to Aaron.  I found his hat in the back of my car the other day and instead of just telling him that I found it......I took a picture of it and sent it to him.  Yes, he thinks I'm crazy too!

Okay......that was an odd assortment of photos!

Day 4 and last day in LV!

Today was probably going to be the most relaxing yet.

Our plan was to spend the entire day downtown and not go to the strip.  We knew there were lots of hidden treasures and we wanted to be able to explore them.

First destination:  The Neon Museum.  We were going to walk, but took a cab....it was really close and we could have walked.  It was a gorgeous day and we did walk back.

They had a selfie machine.  Now THIS is the way to take selfies....on a giant screen automatically!

The sign out in front of the museum was made up with old letters from old Casino signs:
N = Golden Nugget
E = Caesar's Palace
O = Binon's
N - Desert Inn

It was a fascinating place and here is only a small part of the pictures I took.

Not only did we get to see some really old and nostalgic signage, we also learned some really great Las Vegas casino history.  This was really a nice break from hanging out in casinos all day and as you can see......the weather was gorgeous.

The next stop was the Mob Museum, which was really about 3 blocks from our hotel and a short walk from the Neon Museum.

The Mob Museum was in an old Federal Courthouse.  Just the inside of the building was awesome enough to look at.  The sun really made a unique and different picture out of this because of the large building's in the area.

We learned lots and lots of Las Vegas mob history and it was extremely interesting.  There were also some great photo opportunities to be had here.

Geesh.....this guy actually looks like he's gonna fry in the chair.  He's not acting like a good sport and being a good subject for all my photos!

They even had some information there about Uncle Owney.....I'm sure you remember Paul's mob connected Uncle.

Well since it was almost 3pm.....it was time to find something to eat.  Headed down to Fremont and stumbled upon this lovely little market that had the most amazing sandwich in the world.....the Skinny Pig.  We sat on the patio and enjoyed the wonderful weather and scenery.

This place was located in the East Fremont District that they are trying to build up......it really was being fixed up and felt old school Las Vegas.

We also just happened to be eating right across the street from one of our destinations....the El Cortez Hotel and Casino.  Supposedly one of the oldest still open casinos.....so we had to take a look around.  The interior was gorgeous dark wood everywhere and really did have the feel of an old 40's casino.

The rest of our evening was spent hitting every single downtown casino we could find and there were lots to choose from.  We were having such a great time.  In fact, we were having such a great time that we didn't get to bed early like we said we were going to.  We had to get up at 4am to get to the airport for our flight.  Unfortunately, the awesome Bloody Mary's that we were getting, the dancing table dealers, the sound of the slot machines, and the sadness knowing we were going to have to leave the next day and go back to real life made us extend our night a little longer than we should.

So sadly at 1am.....we headed back to our hotel room (right across the sidewalk.....how awesome is that?) and started packing up all our stuff so that we could just drag our asses out of bed at 4am.

Oh......but what a wonderful glorious trip we had.

Lucky for us....the limo service also included picking you up at your hotel and taking you back to the airport.......so at 5am our driver was downstairs and waiting for us.  Lucky for us also was that he had LOTS of bottles of ice cold water for us.  Boy.....did we really need that!

The ride back to the airport this time was in a limo Escalade and the husband was back there snapping pictures!

I do have to say that I am now forever spoiled and will insist on having limo service the next time we go to Vegas.  It really made our experience even that much better.

Now....it was time to get back to reality!

I love being on vacation.....Day 3 Las Vegas

After lazing around in bed for awhile making our plans for the day.....the decision was made that Paul wanted to play in a poker tournament.  We found what we were looking for at Treasure Island, so after a cup of coffee (for Paul) and a Orange Juice (for me).....off we went to the bus stop to get off on the LV Strip!

We were lucky enough on this trip to get the front seat on the top deck of the bus.  It offers an amazing view as you are headed down the strip.  We took advantage of our prime time seats and took some pictures.

Who doesn't recognize that iconic hotel and casino?

We made it to Treasure Island only to find out they cancelled the game.....so off we went to find some other action.  We actually found a tournament at another brand new hotel/casino....The LINQ.  As Paul went off to bankrupt the other players at the Tournament, I was left to my own devices to entertain myself on slot machines.

However, along the way we just had to take advantage of this beautiful
day at this beautiful picture stop.

I played at the LINQ for awhile and then found myself across the sidewalk at Harrah's.  I ended up amusing myself for a couple of hours (and staying about even).  I seemed to do better when people would call me on the phone.......such as this lucky spin as I was talking to Aaron:

After awhile, my husband summoned me that he and announced that he had come in 2nd place in the Tournament and it was time to eat some lunch (well heck yeah......it was already after 2pm).  After walking around for an hour searching for the perfect place to eat, we found a brand new restaurant that had just opened a week ago....so we feasted on a gyro sandwich and a garbage salad (yumm!)

As we ate lunch we perused all the booklets, websites, and anything else we could find to pick the best show we could go see that night.  We finally picked Las Vegas The Show at Planet Hollywood.  We went and bought our tickets and then had about 4 hours to kill until it was show time.

Well we didn't want to go back downtown to the hotel.....so off we went to find some adventures in Las Vegas.  We walked in and out several hotels and played a slot machine here and there.

As we were walking out of Bellagio we had the bright idea to try and take a "selfie" with the Bellagio Fountains and the Paris hotel in the background.  Seriously.....here is what it's like to be old people and try to take a selfie.  I hope no one was watching us!

This is me telling him how to do it probably.  (I sure as hell don't know what was wrong with my hair in this picture.....and why I'm even posting this here).  He just snaps away and forgets to tell me.

Nope.....this is a bad one....let's try it again.

Paul......stop talking while we are trying to take the selfie!

This would have been perfect had Paul been smiling......we better take another one!

Success!  This one is great, let's see if we can get another one (and why does it look like Paul has a lighted tower growing out of his head?)

Well we should have quit when we had the last good shot.  It also appears that the Paris Hotel tower is now attacking Paul's head!

With only an hour left until the show.....we ended up at the Bally's casino where Paul played Pai Gow and I tried my luck at the Wheel of Fortune machines.  How come you only really start winning money when you are on a time limit and have to go.  These machines were really treating me right and I walked out with $300 in winnings!  Yahoo!

Had to take a picture because you don't get to enjoy this every day!

And I didn't do it just ONCE.......but I did it again on another machine!

But it was time to head off to the show.  We had VIP tickets and that gave us great seats and a free picture before the show.  Here we are:

The show was great and was a musical based on the history of Las Vegas from the time of the Rat Pack to now.  It was nostalgic and entertaining.....but not the best show we saw while we were here.

We then hopped the bus back to downtown (with a detour at the Stratosphere.....where I found a $20 bill laying on the ground next to a slot machine.  That was the only GUARANTEED win that I had there).

I did snap a picture while we were riding the bus back downtown and sent it to my sister....who said that it looked like we were on a prison bus.  There definitely was a wide variety of people riding.

After getting back downtown we headed to the Four Queens to eat dinner at their restaurant.  We had eaten there a couple of nights ago and the food was delicious, reasonable, and the staff amazing.  It was 10pm and we were starving.  I finally had the spaghetti that I had been wanting for 2 days!

The rest of this evening was spent hanging around in the D Casino.  Paul enjoyed the dancing dealers and I enjoyed the old fashioned quarter machines.  Day 3 is in the record books!

Yesterday's results.....blech! Tuesday's results......yummy!

Well those banana muffins made with Coconut flour were not so good.  Texture was weird and it felt like you were eating a banana flavored sponge.  We threw that recipe away.  I so wanted it to be good because it was a healthier option, but it was not meant to be.  Boo!

However, on Tuesday night we threw together a dinner with stuff we had laying around.....and what a feast it was.

What do you get when you have Ham, Eggs, Red Onions, Jalapenos, American Cheese, and English Muffins?

Just grill up the English Muffins a little before creating your masterpiece and you have the PERFECT "breakfast for dinner" sandwich in the world!  The scrambled eggs made with the onions and jalapenos were so so yummy.  I'll never eat regular scrambled eggs ever again.

Now it's time to scrounge around the pantry and freezer to see what I can throw together tonight.  It's a dark, dreary, rainy day here and I really have no desire to leave the house.

Cooking Healthier or is it?

What do you do when you have ripe bananas?  Make banana bread of course.

Well we all know how fattening it can be.....so I took our Coconut Flour and looked for a recipe.

And of course Google did not disappoint and promptly guaranteed me that I had the BEST Banana Bread recipe made from coconut flour and coconut oil in the world.

So let's see if that's true:

Here's the recipe.....sorry it's sideways.  I barely had enough time to make the darn recipe and you can't expect me to make the time to turn the picture the right direction....ok?

Some of the "secret" ingredients

Well this particular recipe did not call for nuts.....BUT I seriously have to have nuts in any special breads or muffins I make.  However, due to the stupid diverticulitis that I have.....I am very careful about the amount of nuts I enjoy.  We also did not have any walnuts in our house at this time, so I improvised with pistachios that I recently bought my husband.  I chopped them up very small so that I could enjoy them in the muffins and not have to visit the emergency room.

Here's what these little pre-muffins looked like without any sugar or flour or butter.  Who the heck knows if these are going to be good.

And voila!  Here are the completed muffins (although I am enjoying the quality of this photo taken from my new phone).  How are they going to taste?

Well.....due to the fact that my husband is not home yet.....I had to sneak peak a taste test.  I broke off a tiny corner of one of these muffins.  Please be advised that this is NOT an official taste test yet because I have not had the opportunity to add the LITE butter that we will be eating these with....but the sample tasted good, just not used to the consistency of this muffin.

Oh well....what we have to do when we are older and get fat easier :-(  <-------- face="" p="" sad="">
