Viva Las Vegas: Part 1

Don't feel like working, so lets just take a trip down memory lane.....I've got lots of pictures to post and things to share.

January 3 headed to Vegas.  We either had to take a trip now......or suffer a few months of no traveling again.  Boo!  The destination:  Las Vegas.  Always a fun time and lots and lots of things to do.  Lucky for us there's lots of travel miles that need to be used up.......so a FREE trip to Las Vegas is even better.

I decided to surprise Paul and have a limo waiting for us at the airport. 

We sure felt important and now I feel spoiled (I want to do this every time we go)!

 

Of course when renting a limo you have to take cheesy pictures.....it's part of the experience

 

And of course, you have to take selfies too!

He was on a selfie craze......next time he needs to let me know when he's ready to snap the picture

What do you do when you're cruising down the Las Vegas strip in a limo drinking a glass of champagne with your best friend........you text on your phone of course!

We had the most awesome driver.....Ted. 

This was taken outside of our hotel when he was dropping us off.

 

After the relaxing limo ride (or it could have been the bottle of champagne we drank on the

way to the hotel that made us relaxed) we arrived at our hotel.  This time we decided to stay downtown for a change of pace and scenery......and of course we stayed at the jewel of the downtown.....the Golden Nugget

 

 

Once we settled into our room.....it was time to get out and start having fun. 

 

As you can see.....it didn't take Paul a long time at all to start having fun.

 

After lunch and dabbling a little in the casinos downtown, we made our plans for the evening.  We bought tickets for Zombie Burlesque at Planet Hollywood.....so we hopped in a cab and were on our way to the show.

 

 

 

We took this picture as we were waiting to get inside the theater.  It was so beautifully decorated in this part of the casino mall, that you really felt you were outside in Morocco.

 

 

We had wanted to see something lively, funny and entertaining for our first show of the trip.....and this one fit the bill. 

 

After the show we bought a bus pass and hopped the bus back down the strip to downtown.  The rest of our evening was spent having fun in the casinos (isn't that what we are supposed to be doing?)
