So I'm going to do this 1st post without taking the time to edit and will just put them on here as they were taken. However, if that isn't so successful.....I will be editing them for future downloading.
The latest grand adventure took us to the exciting Washington D.C. area. How better to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary? Updating ourselves on the weather before we got there, helped us plan accordingly and we were well prepared for any adverse weather.
We left Houston at 9am and arrived in Reagan National Airport about 1pm. Then it was off to the rental car place and begin our 4 days of fun.
Our home base for this trip was New Carrolton, Maryland. About 15 minutes from D.C. 20 minutes from Annapolis. 25 minutes from Baltimore. 2 hours from Philadelphia.
The first afternoon we decided to spend the afternoon in Baltimore. Since we didn't get there until things were closed, we spent our time walking around the Inner Harbor just checking out all the fascinating things to see.
I love this picture of me!
Nice shots of Baltimore's Inner Harbor. It was a beautiful place!
My handsome husband! Love this man :-)
He's such a good sport when it comes to letting me take pictures!
These crazy seagulls were helping themselves to the leftovers!
Once it started getting dark, we started making our way back to our hotel to make plans for the evening. Off the freeway we saw a sign that said Maryland Casino. A casino? Hmmm.....we had better check it out.
This place was the BIGGEST casino I have ever been in. It was huge and filled with people. Put a few dollars in the slot machines, but not much happening so we decided to check out the bar. Ended up with a fantastic band there, so we sat and enjoyed the music. When we were getting ready to leave, met some people and chatted for awhile. When they found out it was our anniversary, they bought us a drink and we stayed and chatted some more.
Finally, left the casino and made it back to the hotel. Late night, but it was a fun first day!
