Collecting the dustballs

Now that is an "attention getting" title.

Actually, todays post is going to be like little dustballs. You know how they are just little pieces of dirt that collect together to form something bigger.

I have little tidbits of information that didn't mean much individually, but when we collect them all together -- now it's worth sitting down and writing about.

Last week has been busy....as usual. We've been hiring, trying to catch up, and Paul get better.

Last Wednesday was trivia night. Our whole team played and we trounced the competition with a first place victory. Our location has changed once again (because the last place closed down) and we are now playing at a seafood restaurant. Which means when you win a first place $50 gift certificate -- you know you are eating good again next week!

On Saturday night one of our favorite bands was playing at our usual hangout and we were going to meet up with our "Beatles" friends. Paul has been sick for about 3 weeks and still feeling under the weather, so we decided to lay low and stay home. I do have to say that it sure is nice having the whole house to ourselves. We made dinner together, watched something on Netflix, played a tournament in online poker, and then ended the evening tired, but very happy and rested.

Monday night we went to another place to go to on occasion and played their Monday night bingo. Note: this is not your grandmother's bingo game. They have funny games in between the bingo games and you can win extra boards for the last game. Paul played in "Name the State Capitals" and he smoked his competition. In fact, Paul only had to name one state capital and won the game!

I won the Stinko Bingo. Everyone stands up and they start calling numbers. If they call a number that you have on your bingo card -- you sit down. The object is to have the "bad" card and not get any numbers. It came down to three people: Paul, myself, and a guy at the table next to us. Paul dropped out and it was the other guy and myself and when they called B2 -- he lost! Another funny thing they do is when someone wins -- everyone in the bar crinkles up their bingo cards and throws them at the winner!

Ok, now that I've bored you with the boring stuff we did this past week -- it's time for me to get back to work. I need a productive day because my "social director" informed me this morning he wants to go midtown and get a pizza and play trivia tonight. Crazy guy!
