How long can you go without getting the proper amount of sleep?

I was desperate and even tried this:

They are not working.
I toss and I turn. I try to get really comfortable. But it's not working
So I've decided to get up and begin my work day a little earlier than I expected. Why waste good work hours tossing and turning?
When I just can't do it anymore......I'll lay down and take a little nap.
