Some Yummy Cooking Ideas

I love to cook!

Actually I wish I had more time to cook. I collect recipes. I read cooking magazines. I read cooking articles. I just don't have the time.

This past week I cooked ALOT. I also took pictures so that I could share some of my great creations!

First day: Spanish Rice

Something so easy, so delicious, and my family loves.

Here's the ingredients:

The only thing missing is the hamburger that I used. It was so good and I made so much -- Aaron and his room mate came and took everything that Paul and I didn't eat!

Next idea: Cucumber/Lemon/Mint water

The next thing is an idea we got from one of our customer's to enhance your water drinking pleasure. Take water and add cucumber slices, lemon or lime slices, and some fresh mint. Let it sit overnight and then drink. Paul loves it and we usually try to have a jug of it in our refrigerator at all times. We have even replaced the fresh mint with some Peppermint extract and it's still delicious!

Next: Chimichangas

I undertook making chimichangas for an army. All my men love them and have been begging me for weeks to make them. So this past Saturday I bought all the stuff and made 56 chimichangas. I have to admit they are delicious and so easy to make, but when you have to make them for an army it takes awhile! Here's my ingredients:

I don't have a picture of the finished product because they were standing around waiting for them to and snatched them up before I was done!

And I saved the best for last. Now I have to tell you that this is the BEST potato salad we have ever had in our life!!! Sorry mom, we liked it even better than your famous potato salad.....but it's different ( we still LOVE yours). But.......this blog has gone on too long -- so I'm continuing it on until tomorrow. Check back.....it really is worth the wait :)
