My glamorous life.......NOT!

I know ya'll think that we have this fabulous glamorous life jet setting around the world......well these are the pictures that prove this is not true.

Getting ready for taxes.  Blah.....sorting all these receipts from Paul's shopping excursions to match them up with all the statements and then have to enter them in Quick Books.

However, all of this hard and BORING work was happening tonight on my bed and in my pajamas!

Who's jealous now?

Love Las Vegas......day 2

Day 2 began with breakfast in the hotel restaurant and plans being made for the evening entertainment.  There was a last minute ticket booth right next door to our hotel.....so every morning we made the pilgrimage to purchase our tickets for that nights entertainment.

The show that night was going to be Rock of Ages at the Venetian.  We also bought half price buffet tickets for the Mirage (right across the street).  It was going to be a crab buffet night.....yay!

We hopped on the bus and planned our journey for the day.  We ended up playing Pai Gow at Treasure Island, the Mirage, and played Wheel of Fortune slots at Tropicana, Circus Circus and Slots a Fun.

We feasted on the buffet early and headed over to the Venetian to kill some time before the show.  Paul ended up in the Poker room and I just wandered around keeping myself entertained.

When finally time for the show......it was AMAZING!!!!  Paul had been skeptical about seeing it, but we were so glad we did.  We loved it!

After the show, we jumped on the bus and headed back up the strip to downtown.  The rest of our evening was spent in the Golden Nugget having a blast playing Pai Gao poker.

Another fun day was in the books.

Viva Las Vegas: Part 1

Don't feel like working, so lets just take a trip down memory lane.....I've got lots of pictures to post and things to share.

January 3 headed to Vegas.  We either had to take a trip now......or suffer a few months of no traveling again.  Boo!  The destination:  Las Vegas.  Always a fun time and lots and lots of things to do.  Lucky for us there's lots of travel miles that need to be used up.......so a FREE trip to Las Vegas is even better.

I decided to surprise Paul and have a limo waiting for us at the airport.

We sure felt important and now I feel spoiled (I want to do this every time we go)!

Of course when renting a limo you have to take cheesy pictures.....it's part of the experience

And of course, you have to take selfies too!

He was on a selfie craze......next time he needs to let me know when he's ready to snap the picture

What do you do when you're cruising down the Las Vegas strip in a limo drinking a glass of champagne with your best friend........you text on your phone of course!

We had the most awesome driver.....Ted.
This was taken outside of our hotel when he was dropping us off.

After the relaxing limo ride (or it could have been the bottle of champagne we drank on the
way to the hotel that made us relaxed) we arrived at our hotel.  This time we decided to stay downtown for a change of pace and scenery......and of course we stayed at the jewel of the downtown.....the Golden Nugget

Once we settled into our room.....it was time to get out and start having fun.

As you can see.....it didn't take Paul a long time at all to start having fun.

After lunch and dabbling a little in the casinos downtown, we made our plans for the evening.  We bought tickets for Zombie Burlesque at Planet Hollywood.....so we hopped in a cab and were on our way to the show.

We took this picture as we were waiting to get inside the theater.  It was so beautifully decorated in this part of the casino mall, that you really felt you were outside in Morocco.

We had wanted to see something lively, funny and entertaining for our first show of the trip.....and this one fit the bill.

After the show we bought a bus pass and hopped the bus back down the strip to downtown.  The rest of our evening was spent having fun in the casinos (isn't that what we are supposed to be doing?)

Stay tuned for day 2............................

BONUS BLOG: Why you should start a blog

Today as I was running errands I was texting back and forth with my sister.  I mentioned the blog was back and that I am so happy.  It's really my therapy.

My sister mentioned that she should start one but doesn't have time.  I don't have time either and sometimes it's really hard to fit it in.......but it's so cleansing to journal your life.  (*in fact, I am sitting here chowing down on a salad for lunch since it's the only time I'll have to write today).

Here is why everyone should blog:

It's therapeutic.

It's a place to vent and get the anger out of yourself.

Gives you a chance to relive a fun memory by writing and posting the pictures.  I also love to go back and later and see what we've done the last few years.

Share the details of your life with your family that isn't around

Gives my husband a different view of me and how I think.  Gives him a chuckle every once in awhile.

Is a lasting legacy for my children and grandchildren someday to see what their mother thought about things and how we lived our life.

It's my release.

There's probably a bunch more reasons that I can't think of right now......but I think you should all just start a blog today and send me the address so that I can see what you all do.

I should have taken a picture

Yesterday was just one of those days that was crappy.

It started out with a funeral.  No one likes to have to go to those......ever.

It ended it with me dropping our Salad for dinner on the floor.  The whole thing.....the only thing we were going to eat for dinner.

In the middle was:

* an email from our online ordering company stating they were changing the way they do things AGAIN.  And once again it's going to be a problem in the way we do business.....so now we are going to have to spend all the time and trouble to find another one.  (I seriously do NOT have one more second to spend on any other projects.....I already have too much to do)

* finding out that someone has been stealing the employee's tips and it most likely is one of the employees.  I hate thiefs.

*email from another company we deal with stating that our computer access might be hacked.  Good, now I get to be computer detective and figure out what's wrong with that.

* trying to find the time to get the W2's done, the quarterly payroll reporting done, the tax stuff started so I can turn my taxes in before September this year, and I still have Christmas stuff all over that needs put away.

So as I am finally ready to call it a day and sit down and eat with my husband, I dropped the *$&#*% salad on the floor.

That was it.   The final straw.

I went storming off to bed hungry and my wonderful husband cleaned up the mess.

I had it and I was done with that day.  I wish I hadn't taken a picture of that salad on the floor.

More sneak peeks!

Seriously.....I've been trying to get back to this writing, but real life has gotten in the way.

I still have Christmas gifts laying around that need to be put away.  Don't judge me.  My Christmas tree and decorations would not have been taken down if Cris hadn't stepped up and volunteered to remove everything.  Thank goodness he did.  I would be sick to my stomach at looking at all that crap still.

Actually, this week has been busy with a Client Appreciation Dinner from our accountant.  Who can turn down a free meal at a really really expensive steak house?  We didn't either.  Then we've had a funeral, payroll, and just a lot of loose crap that still needs done from being gone.

But here's another picture teaser to keep you coming back for more.  I have so many pictures that I need to put on here......just no time to do it.  In any case.......enjoy!

Us crazy old fat folks trying to take selfies.  What the heck is wrong with us?

Love my life!

This is what I need

I need this blog.  It might sound crazy to you, but all day long 7 days a week I am a Pizza Zone employee.  I've lost a little of my own identity along the way because PZ consumes our life so much.  But this little blog is my way to have a visual treasure of how we live our day to day life.

We're so lucky that we've had all the opportunities to get away and have fun this past year.  We really treasure those days when we are traveling, because most of the time those are the first REAL days off we've had in awhile.

This week I'm working on getting caught up because it's payroll, and W2 time, and all the other important things that need to get done for Pizza Zone......but right now I've decided to stop for the day and just share a few pictures of some of the things we've been up to since "I retired" this blog over a month ago.

WARNING:  the following pictures are unedited versions of the originals.  I don't have the time to sit here and edit photos right at this very moment......just enjoy them...ok????

I love this man I married and I sure do love all the adventures I get to do with him!
