I'm surprised that I love visiting art museums. I might not enjoy everything I see in there, but every once in awhile you see some pretty amazing stuff.
This is the front of the museum.
Watch for the picture coming up from the back of this clock!
The inside of this museum was awesome
The back of the clock from inside the building
The Louvre from the balacony at the Musee de Orsay.
Had to take a selfie from the top of the museum. Not my best pretty shot, but oh well
Paul wanted his picture taken with all the sculptures
One of us liked this picture and took a picture of it. Not sure who that was.
After finishing the museum and getting a picture of Paul with the Rhino out front, we hopped back on the bus and headed back in the direction of our apartment. We wanted to take a short nap and freshen up for the adventure we would be having that evening.
This picture was taken for Ms. Shaylene, who kept harassing me in text messages to make sure I was drinking enough fluids (water....not beer)
Our destination for the evening was going to be the Latin Quarter. We heard that it was a fun area of town with music and restaurants. So after navigating ourselves on the Metro.....we found ourselves in the Latin Quarter.
We walked up and down the streets and entertained ourselves with people watching and checking out all the restaurants.
We hadn't had any food since lunch, where we feasted on Quiche Lorraine (quiche with diced ham) and Croque Monsieur. The Croque Monsieur is a grilled ham sandwich with melted Emmental Cheese. Or you could get a Croque Madam sandwich which is the same thing with a fried egg on top. The quiche and the sandwich were delicious!
Since it was 10pm and we hadn't had dinner......it was time to find somewhere to eat. We found a nice café with outdoor seating and ordered dinner. Apparently, this cat lived at the restaurant and decided to keep us company while we ate our dinner. However, it seemed to like Paul more than me because it kept staring at him and sitting next to his feet.
Paul totally ordered something different and had a Nicoise Salad (see picture below). It had tuna and some other veggies on it. For his main dish he had a cheese fondue. I personally thought the cheese stunk. He seemed to enjoy it.
By the time we finished eating it was almost midnight and we still had a 30 minute subway ride back to the apartment.
What a fun day it was!
